How to Spring Clean Your Makeup
During spring cleaning your makeup bag may be overlooked but it can be filled with germs and bacteria.
The first thing to do when cleaning your makeup bag is to clean your brushes. You should be cleaning your brushes daily. You can use an anti-bacterial face wash, such as our Hydra Medic Face Wash to not only help prevent those breakouts, but to disinfect your brushes.
How to Clean Your Brushes
1) Take 1 pump of cleanser and rub the bristles of your brush gently on
2) Next, rinse!
3) Squeeze out your brush & make sure there are no suds – if there are rinse again.
4) To dry, lay flat on a paper towel.
Don’t forget to toss old products! After you’ve cleaned your brushes – it’s time to toss away old product! Most of your staples only have a life span of about 6 months. This includes your Liquid Foundation, Eye Shadow, Powder, Lipstick, Concealer, and Blush. Your eyeliner has a shorter span of 3 months.
